Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there from William and Kat!!

Honoring motherhood has deep roots, stretching back to ancient civilizations. In Greece and Rome, goddesses like Rhea and Cybele were worshipped with festivals celebrating life and nurturing. By the 16th century, the Christian tradition of Mothering Sunday emerged in Europe, blending religious devotion with family appreciation.

In the U.S., efforts to create a dedicated Mother’s Day began in the 19th century through peace movements and local observances. Anna Jarvis, inspired by her late mother Ann, succeeded in establishing the modern Mother’s Day in 1914. Though originally meant as a personal tribute, the holiday quickly grew into a commercial phenomenon.

Today, Mother's Day is celebrated worldwide with diverse traditions—from flowers and cards to family feasts and cultural rituals. Despite evolving through centuries and across cultures, the heart of the holiday remains the same: honoring the love, strength, and legacy of mothers.
